I've been giving my goldfish nightcrawlers for a long time now. I just rinse them off and cut them in bite size pieces. They really love them and I've had no problem, but If I'm not mistaken I read on the temporary board about wrapping them in a paper towel or something to draw out the dirt? I think it was Paul who does this and was hoping Paul or someone else that does this would explain.
Thanks.

Yeah, pull them along so everything comes out and then keep them in a box of lettuce to clean out their intestinal tract.

It takes a couple of days for all the dirt to be removed from their bodies. Also never collect worms from areas that might have been sprayed with any chemical; herbicides, weed killers, etc. as it can poison your goldie.

The chemical thing is very important to remember.
Keeping them in a moist area (paper towels, lettuce is new to me)
lets them purge all the dirt and other stuff they have in them out.

Yea, I never give them worms from around the house as we are always using Sevin Dust in our garden and on the roses. I buy Canadian Night Crawlers from bait shop. I'll start keeping them in a moist paper towel or lettuce. Thanks.
