Can you guys please try to answer some of these questions?
1.How do you tell if a snail is a male or female?(anywebsites?)
2.How do you sink your cucumbers?
What type of snail is my one??

Usually the males have a longer tube. http://applesnail.net/ This site is very good and has a lot of information on it you may find useful.

I used to use elastics and tie the cucumbers to rocks or ornaments in the tank. I would fully clean the elastics first because you do not want anything bad getting into the tank.

Do you have a pic of your snail? Chances are it is a apple snail/mystery snail.

Looks like a Apple Snail to me, however, since there's more then one type, cana, brigg etc, I'd think comparing the charts on the apple snail site would be good for you!

don't just look at the color, the tell tales are in the spiral & operculums as to which is what!

Oh yeah, get a food clip that has a suction cup and just clip it inside the tank, they will find it!

Congrats Leo! Looks like a Cana to me also,but I need a closer pic to tell for sure. I throw chunks of cuke's in a little bit of water,and steam them for a few seconds.The veggies will then sit on the bottom for you.My snails seem to prefer their food a little softer. You can do that in the microwave too. Or as Kathy said,use a veggie clip! Good Luck!
