With veggies, it's best to cook them soft, like if you are going to give carrots, brocoli, or anything that is hard to begin with. Just drop little bite size pieces in, you don't need to use a veggie clip....don't worry, they will find it....if it even makes it to the bottom before they scarf it down

. Same for fruit, like bananas, strawberries....cut into little pieces. With an orange, take a whole section, peel off the outer membrane, drop it in, and watch your fish attack it like little sharks. By beans, you mean green beans? If so, then you should cook them soft and cut into little pieces. I do hope that's what kind of beans you meant.
