Hi
We are interested in breeding our goldfish. We got them around three months ago.
The two fantails and the two moors were aprox. 1 1/2 inches from their fish lips to the tips of their tail fins. They are all aprox double in size now. We also have a shubukin that is aprox. 4 inches. Is there a way to estimate aprox age by size? Can we try breeding this spring? How long after the males show their little bumps is it before spawning will begin? Do you seperate them once you see the bumps?
Sorry for so many little questions, but I've been reading everything I can get my hands on and these are some basic questions that I am still left with. krazy.gif Anybody?
Thanks
Fishbert
Only way for sure is to study a scale under a microscope.
