Where do you all place your filters (in respect to tank position) ?
I currently have an AquaClear HOB filter (100gph designed for up to 20g tanks) and its positioned on a corner of the tank. Is it better to position it in the middle of the tank? My intuition leads me to think that the water would be more equally filtered if positioned in the middle. However, I also don't want to disturb all the water (perhaps the fish like some areas that are more 'still'?).
Comments?

On my smaller tanks (20's) the filter is placed in the middle. Get's
everything moving around enough, but doesn't create a turbulent
spot that the fish aren't able to handle. There are plants here and
there to break up current and provide cover. The bigger tanks have
the filters centered for each half or third.
You can move your filter around and see how the fish handle it. If
they look like they are getting blown around in the current, then
you may need to slide the filter to one side or the other.
