I know I was advised when I first got my betta's that it might not be a good idea to mix the female with my guppies, but I thought I'd go ahead and give it a try. I put her in my 10 gal. with my 2 guppies and 2 cory cats. She's been living in a big punch bowl that holds about 2 gals. but I just thought she might be happier in the 10 gal. if she would get along. I'm so proud of her. She is getting along so well with the guppies and cory cats. She chased the guppies a little at first but did not bite them. Then after awhile she settled down and is swimming calmly around the tank. She seems to be enjoying everything in there. The new environment did not stop her appetite at all. She ate right away. The guppies don't seem to mind her being there either. Gonna continue to watch very close but I think she's gonna be fine with them.

I don't know, but I would think a female would get along OK with guppies, since they aren't that aggressive. I would think males would be more problematic, since they might see male guppies as rivals. I currently have some females in with danios and white clouds and they all seem to get along fine Good luck and keep us posted.

So far so good. Hubby fish sat her today while I was at work and she's getting along nicely. She tries to boss a little but that's it. No nipping. She seems to like it very well.

He seems happier in the 5 gallon. Anyway good luck.

That's great Queenie.The thing about Betta's,is that each betta has a different personality.You don't know until you try.Just don't get lax in keeping an eye on them cause that could all change in a heartbeat! Hopefuuly everyone can be happy!

Thanks. I'll continue to keep a good eye on her. My husband is watching her while I'm at work. Another good day today. She seems to be so happy in there. She seems to enjoy the activity in the tank. She even seems to enjoy the bubbles. I turned them down low because I didn't want it to be too strong for her but I see her go through them from time to time. I'm really surprised.
