My goldfish are small and eat only peas...

I've tried broccoli, spinach, lettuce, cabbage and cauliflower.
i boil them!!

they just eat and spit...

Maybe they just dont like it? My goldy Mopy will devoure peas, carrots and banana, but she wont touch lettuce or brocoli or any thing else i put in there for her. she just doesnt like it.

lol i never fed her all that. I only tried her with carrots peas lettuce cucmberand broccoli for vegtables. My little fish loves brocoli but wont touch carrots. The little fish also like grapes, which mopy wont touch. I dont like brussel sprouts or avocado and im sure alot of people dont either. doesnt mean that its bad for them. They probably dont like it. Niether of my fish like the brocoli flourettes. And neither like leafy greens, but gold fish like to tear apart and eat lettuce and other plants, there known to do it, mine just dont lol.
It also depends on the presentation. I boil and mash everything i give to my gf. Mopy love carrots but if you gave her a small chunk of one, she couldnt possibly eat it, so she will spit it out, she likes everything the consistancey of mashed potatoes.
If they cant swallow it they wont eat it. You wouldnt swallow a chunk of something, you have to chew it, gf cant chew, so it has to be ether really small, or the consistancey of something that has allready been chewed.

2 out of the billions of fish in the world isnt really a big coincidence either. lol

I've got 5 fish that just hate carrots. I've tried them cooked, shredded, frozen, mushed up, they just won't eat it. All like cooked broccoli but one, he'll mouth a piece, and spit it across the tank! And then I swear he seems to glare at me for feeding it!

Mine don't consider fresh broccoli food, but eat it in gel food. same with red peppers. don't like em raw, but don't seem to have a problem with them in gel food.

BTW, They can chew food.

well they squish it, i meant in not the same way we chew food. my big one swallos everything whole, the little one mouths it.

I think they grind it up actually. Since I feed mine lots of fresh foods, I see them chewing quite a bit.

my baby gf mushes is up, and you can see his little mouth working, but my big one just sucks everything in, she only 'chews' on rocks every now and again. I geuss in her mind chewing slows down the eating process.

I feed my snails all kinds of fruits/veggies, so I get to see what my goldies will eat. They ONLY eat bananas, oranges and peas. They also will eat the spinach that comes in those frozen cubes from the petstore, the goldfish snack cubes.

when we get our moor, and I experiment with what he/she likes to eat, do I have to cook the vegetables...or can they just be thawd? Can I put them in the microwave instead? I seriously can't cook (except stuff that just can go in the microwave lol)

Yup i throw peas into the micro wave. Carrots/broccoli i boil. but pretty much evrything i feed fresh. I have a bag of frozen vegtables, and i nuke them and mash then and the gf like it fine.
