OK - so in Pat's tank (one of the fish still battling this #### finrot) I have noticed that he has a weird growth on the base of his top fin. It's hard to get a look at but I swaer it looks as if the scales have thickened & grown into the fin. It's only in this one area but it is on both sides of the fin.

I'll try to take a pic later.

Tank params are fine & water is being changed at least twice per week at least 25% each time.

It's a 2.5 minibow with a whisper, aquarium marbles & a silk plant.

Any thoughts???

Is it the same colour as the fin?

It appears to be a bit grayer than the fin but it looks solid to me (as opposed to cottony or loose scales)

Any thoughts???
