I've been reading on a different forum that some people use Jobe's Plant Spikes in the substrate of their planted aquariums. Has anyone here used these Plant Spikes in the GF aquariums and if so, what was your experience?

I have never used the Jobe's plant spikes, but I have used PondTabbs, broken into little pieces and pushed into the substrate. I have algae in my tank already, and the PondTabbs didn't make it any worse.

If I remember correctly, with the Jobe's spikes, most people recommend the ones for ferns ... is there such a thing?

I just ordered some fertilizer tablets made by Seachem. I will let you know how I like them.
