I couldn't get a pic of Cracker tonight, but lil ones shell is a bit funny around the edges and will probably be like that alway's, hence the name Cracker!

Your new snails are awesome!!! I'm so jealous <_< I wish I could get different coloured ones too.

Do you keep your snails with GF or do they have their own tank?

I had to put mine with GF recently and they seem to be ok. I put them in with the more gentle fish, my ranchu and bubble eye

They are in there own tank for now, but I intend for them go in my 55 gl with the Oranda's.

As near as I can tell, we have about 4-5 new MTS baby's too. They will go in the 55. I have two more tanks I plan on putting fish in as I go along, so there's plenty of room for growth here,lol!


And it certainly looks like we are growing.........

Are you feeding your snails the peels of a lemon or do they eat the uneaten food in which the fish do not each

Hi 20,
I feed them vegies and Orange slices. Zucchini, yellow squash, cooked broccoli,carrots,greenbeans. I also toss in algae wafers occaisionally. I use a food clip to clip some of the beans or larger stuff to, and let some settle to the bottom of the tank in other spots so they don't all converge on one piece.

Suppliment the water with calcium drops also!

How in the world did I miss this thread?????Any way Congrats on your new ones!!!! We gotta get you some of those pretty snailee colored snails to go with your dark and gold ones! Between Heather and myself,I'm sure we can manage!!!! Everytime I have ordered snails,they have sent me extra ones!!!!!

Yes, I'd be happy to take some colored briggs! Just at the moment, my whole upstairs is a class A disaster area! The hubby is putting in new walling,ceiling and raising it a bit. Old house, the upstairs is sort of narrow and barn shaped walling..

Meanwhile I have one kid on a couch, one on the floor, things down here that need to go back up there..... They even have my big hex penned in behind all the lumber and sheet rock..... (Thats earmarked for the canna's. )

As soon as I can find a coffee table for my 30 gl, I've got the new filters coming in this week! Seems like I have so much to do and it never goes fast enough! The baby's are ready to come out of the 20 qt, but I'm waiting for the uv sterilizer to clean up the green water problem......... <insert me beating my head agaisnt the wall here>
