hi, Iwas just wondering what types of plants would do ok with 2 common goldfish? my main worry is the plants getting up rooted and moved about etc. as the fish get bigger and dart around. thanks in advanced for any info.

Hi Croc,
Welcome to koko's! smile.gif

Well, I think first off you need to know that lights are very important to the type of plants you want.

A lot of plants need a high light output. There are a few that do well in any light & water parameter. There are some that won't take a high ph though also.

There's a couple of articles up at the top about live plants, and tropica's url is listed there. The plants are well listed with there needs.

Goldies like Anacharis to munch on, and it takes a higher light to thrive then what comes stock with a AQ. But if you only get small bunch, it won't last long!

Java ferns and moss are good with low light levels and goldies don't mess with those. They do need tied to rocks or driftwood though.

Really nice light set ups are spendy, but if you can afford one, thats great. Or you can build one yourself even.

Plant trick: clear candle votives, large rock, marbles to hold the roots in place look very nice and blend in well. You can see that in the tip of the month archives.
