Ooh, the world is against me at the moment.

Not only is Wonton fighting the ich, but he has suddenly developed rampaging finrot- really nasty!

His lower fins are all black and wrinkly at the tips, with a whitish blue colour separating that from healthy fin.

This has come on so quickly, I'm really really worried now. He has another three days of ich treatment to go, so I assume i can't start him on anything until that's finished with.

FYI he's in a 3gal with 28c heater, airstone and air filter, no salt, being treated with protozin, and eats tubifex, hikari betta stuff and chopped prawn- except he's not eating at the moment.

I haven't tested the water, but as it got a 50%change last night it should be aok.

Anything I can do for him? This fish is turning into a 1 tank disaster area!

unsure.gif I had a bout with that raging finrot not long ago as did several others on this forum. Look back over some of the posts from around a month ago. Sorry I don't have time or I would find the threads for you. I used Maracyn Two alone as prescribed for five days and it arrested it. Then I backed off and my guy has been growing a new tail ever since. I sure know what you mean about how finrot can do so much damage so fast though.

There is a page pinned on this board about how to medicate in smaller tanks (by small I mean under 10 gal).

Hope things get better for you. The package that the meds come in usually tell what can be mixed with what, but be really careful about that.
