I was sitting at the table late last night not able to sleep and eating an orange. ALL 4 of my goldies were jammed into the corner of the tank next to me just wiggling away and staring at what I was doing. I had already fed them but remembered what everyone has said about fruit. After about ten minutes of them just jostling around and staring, I decided to give it a try. MAN, what a bunch of PIGS!. I have never seen anything so funny as watching four goldfish pushing each other out of the way to get a piece of orange. They went absolutely bonkers. Everyone got some but boy what a scene. Piglet is always pushy but even MITZI was wiggling in the mix. She never does that because being the queen that is just so beneath her. She always holds back and will not eat unless she is hand fed. SOOOOOO... I now know what there favorite treat is.....

I am definitely not going to eat oranges in sight of them again. I tried to eat one for lunch at the table this afternoon and they just about went through the glass to get at it. Sheesh, you would think I never feed them or something! NOT! Once a week guys, that's all you get.......And of course when I tried to give them tubifex worms instead (their other love)they just turned up their noses and swam the other way, almost in a huff. Who would have guessed that goldfish could have such personalities....

lol! maybe i should go try some other fruits to see what my fish likes. :X

I have GOT to try oranges for my little guys.. I have also heard they like grapes and bananna's !
