ok ive have had this air pump for only 2weeks
and my fish have been in their new tank for only a week they loved swimming through the bubbles then i added a treasure chest that opens up and realeases air and they stayed to one side of the ever since farest away from the treasure chest as possible
so i disconnected the treasure chest and left the air stone on now the air pump is making a little more noise and they won leave there spot are they scared? what do i do??
Mr. Goldfish
Check if there is any water in the air hose or the air pump. If there is romeve it, and let it dry or blow-dry it .

Good question, is the treasure chest still in there? Could it be scaring them. Is the airstone to powerful for them?

Mayber switch out the airstone and replace it see if that helps.

Some airstones makes a lot of vibration especially when it touches a solid object like glass. So it's best to make your airstone float a bit and make sure it doesn't touch anything.

is it bad to turn the pump off at night while i sleep then turn it back on in the morning is this what might be scareing the fish?

Yep it will. I suggest getting a smaller air pump or puttin something in between your treasure chest that will not allow it to slam shut! Maybe a small piece of plastic or sumthing.
