Forum > The Goldfish Topics > Goldfish Tanks > Water problems? Questions about water quality?

I'm not sure if this is in the right topic, but anyways, recently I've noticed the aquarium walls in my goldfish aquarium have become foggy. When I put my hand on the inside and rub the wall it is slimey but also has a sort of coarse texture, but the film comes off when I rub it.Does anyone have any idea what this? I dont have any water testing kits, i'm getting them now cause I'm a bit worried. Although I've had this aquarium for awhile and never had problems. I'm stumped blink.gif

I don't think it's anything to worry about. I clean off the front wall of my goldie tank with each partial water change. I leave the sides and back alone.

Do get a test kit. You really need one to make sure their water stays happy.
