I went to the lfs today to buy a new siphon and they had trumpet snails, so I bought one. I put him in my apple snail tank in a guppy floating box, cause I dont know how they will go with my apple snails. I'm going to do some research now, but if anyone knows much about them, I would love to hear from you :listen:

I will post some pics soon biggrin.gif

ooo he's cute

well they are just like physas... eat anything lying around and algae as well

one word of caution... they are hermaphrodites and ASEXUAL! this means with your one snail you'll eend up with many! but with these guys they dont lay eggs... they are livebearers blink.gif so dont get comfortable with one... you'll ened up with many loll

they are really good to have in your tank... they like to burrow so this borrowing aerates your sand/gravel and helps to prevent the growth of anaerobic bacteria.

I personally like them alot, feed them what you feed your ramshorns pretty much... I'm not sure if these guys eat veggies wink.gif that'll be something you need to look in to.

Hope i've answered anything you need to know.... reply back soon:D

Thanks hamstaman for the info.

I gave him some turtle pellets and he ate that and I've got some algae discs as well, so I'll see if he eats that too.

Will he hurt my apple snails if I put him in there with them?
hamstaman
nope they are friendly:D
