I'm not sure what that could be? I would check at applesnail.net and see what you can find there. Hopefully someone here may know aswell. I hope your snail is ok. Does he seems fine apart from the green lines on his shell?

seems ok rhere is plenty to eat lots of room plants, everything a snail could desire.

What you could do is feed him turtle pellets which are high in calcium, that's what I feed mine as well as veggies. You could also add calcium liquid. I cant get calcium liquid so i just put a couple of bits of cuttlebone in my filter. Did you buy the snail like that, or did the lines appear gradually?

The green lines are algae that has taken hold in the ridges of the shell. I had one like that. His shell always grew kind of ridgy, regardless of the added calcium in the tank, and he always had some green to him. My other snails have smooth shells and no algae. I don't think it's anything to worry about, just cosmetic. There are instructions on applesnail.net for removing algae from their shells, but I just left it alone. Adding calcium in some form in any snail tank is a good idea though.

You can take an old toothbrush and gently rub his shell down. It's not a health problem, it just looks annoying.
