Are tetras hard to take care of? I am planning to put them in a 10 gallon tank, can you please tell me the requirements for having tetras. I already have a betta in the tank, will that be dangerious? Or should I get Danios? Thanks.

i have found them really easy. but dont get anyhing too flashy as some betas are temperamental about tank mates. danios should be ok as well. maybe 6 would be good.

My friend had a male betta with danios and they nipped the betta's fins so she had to seperate the Betta, but other people have no problems. My danios are a bit nippy so I dont keep them with fish that have long fins. I heard with nippy fish like danios or barbs, it is best to keep them in a school of 6+ and they dont tend to nip other fish. I had 6 tiger barbs who are apparently notorious nippers and I never had a problem smile.gif

i have had both tetras and danios, and personally i would go for danios.
danios are much more hardy too.
