My plants need CO2 and my goldies need O2...to provide enough for

both, I used a DIY CO2 reactor and my air pump at the same time...my

question is would the air bubbles produce by my air pump neutralise

the CO2 thus rendering my reactor useless?

Your plants will produce oxygen during the day, so don't run your airstone during the day.

Run it at night, when the plants are using oxygen.

That's a good idea. smile.gif

So how much of what kind of light do you have over the tank?
Myaj
Most people run the airstone at night while your lights are off.

I've tried turning off my air supply before but my plants aren't producing enough oxygen for my fishes...they're all gasping for breath....

So how's your nitrIte levels?
Have you treated for flukes?
What is your KH and pH?
What's the water temperature?
Myaj
Also, what kind of filter on what size tank and how many fish?

If your fish are gasping for oxygen when you turn off the bubbles, you have more to worry about than your plants.
