just wanted to know if anyone had a wakin and if they have to pre soak the flake like you would for an egg shaped fish , or could you feed them like a normal goldfish from the surface.

I haven't got a wakin Sandy, but aren't they slim-line body shape? If so it should be alright to feed on the surface.

The only food that sometimes give's my goldies floaty symptoms is floating pellets. Only one particular brand of pellets does it. My pearlies and everyone eat from the surface except for Cutie-Pie's tank 'cos they are all slow feeders and I pre-soak and sink their food.

thanks annette for that. i thought too that with it being gf shaped it shouldnt have too much problems. im asking for someone who is thinking of getting a couple from her lfs.
