hi lozbug

i use tetra fresh delica bloodworm and brine shrimp (i did a write up on it in product reveiw) i also use tetra gold medal luxury goldfish food and happy with it all. myself i would not use tropical food for goldys but i know a lot of fish shops do
Lozbug

Read the ingredients on your pellets and flakes. I'll bet you'll be surprised at how much corn, wheat and soy are in even the best of them. I personally think that a diet of exclusively pellets and flakes isn't healthy. It'd be like you or me eating only fish sandwiches (highly processed protein and fast carbs) all the time. I think at minimum adding veggies/plants and the occasional fruit along with fresh protein would be a good thing.

they do have varied diet..

flakes
pellets
peas
bloodworm
tubifex
gel food
cucumber

i just like more and more food... biggrin.gif

ooo I aint done mine cucumber yet... how do you prepare that for them then? smile.gif
Lozbug
slice cucumber like you would for a salad, chop off the skin and cut out seeds.. then dice the rest of it.

It floats, but my Goldies love it.. (tropicals not too keen thou)
