I had to move my pleco into my 55 gallon tank (was in a 5 gal with a few minnows, but it became an ER with salt so had to move him) and for the life of me i can't find the bloody algea disks i bought for him, they're kinda expensive so i can't get more, is there anything else i can feed him for the time being?

Mine just adore lightly cooked zucchini. I cut a chunk off, and cook it for about 20-30 seconds in the microwave in a bit of water (how long depends on the size of the piece). It will sink after it is cooked.

My guys love shrimp pellets for some reason, plus they eat normal sinking food.. but by far their favorite is zuchanni. I don't even bother with the algae wafers anymore...

My 8 1/2" plec likes eating frozen blood worms and dead fish. My 4" one also likes bloodworms.

i would go with the green foods personally until you can get some algae discs.
