what should the temp be for tropical fish?

It all depends on this type of fish in some cases but the average temp is 76- 79 Degree's THose temps are good for the basic fish Like mollies, guppies, Guormis, Sharks, tetras ect ect. When you get into Angels and ciclids familay you want to go a little higher like 79 - 80 even 81... Discuss run 84 to 86 i run my angel and discus tank at 85 - 86 for the reason that gives them the closest temp to there natural enviroment.... they let me know by changing there color if it goes lower than 84 when i do the water changes. But all in all those are the basics. There are some great guides out there on the net that can give you specific temps for certain breeds.
