Hello,
On one of my ramshorn sanils there is about 5 little tiny white worms that look like strings. they are on the snail's shell and around its antenntas. what are they? and are they bad? and what should i do to get rid of them.? help1.gif help.gif

you sure it's worms???... i think it may be beneficial bacteria or just snail slime that has solidified.. if you'd like take a sponge and clean the shell of the snail.. and report back what you see k?.. goodluck:D

no they move independtly and reatreat into the snail's shell when touched and they can move around the snail's shell.

wow really odd.. do you notice little red heads on them?

no they are completly white

that's really odd... maybe post this thing up in the tanks section, maybe it's some type of pond worm.. sorry i am no help, hopefully someone else comes along and helps

Hi there hun

Do you have them on the glass of your tank or is this just limited to one snail..if possible can you nip on to applesnail.net and give Donya a shout she loves stuff like this and is the resident bug expert..if poss get a picture also..as that would help..Linda
