well i transferred the snails to the newly cycled 20 g that has duckweed in it.. the fish will be going in tomorrow i just want to finish medicating my comets broken anal fin:(...
what was odd is I have had the snails for almost a year... never seen them mate... never ever seen eggs... i am almost 100% sure they are opposite sexes... and guess what i saw this morning???? I saw my male black mystery's snail penis sheath and his "thing" inserted into my golden mystery snail.. and he was holding on for dear life... he didn't get a long enugh grip though because the golden snail closed herself up in her shell making the black one fall of of her...
Could this be mating??? And why did they wait so long to actually start mating??? And.. could it be the duckweed that enticed them to mate... making it seem more like their natural habitat wih duckweed over ponds????
Thanks:D
