Well, I made a little of the Easy Gel Food recipe on Betty's webpage and it's in the fridge now. I hope it comes out ok. I didn't use sardines, I used shrimp instead that I defrosted and chopped up. I mixed it in with the babyfood peas and heated it up- but I don't know if it boiled or not unsure.gif It was kinda hard to get the geletin dissolved and I hope it dissolved enough. I also didn't have the Acidophilus. It's not the exact recipe but I figured it was pretty close pan.gifd it's a first try at this gelatin concept for me wink.gif Wish me luck!

p.s. how long should it take to set?

Well, it's not wiggley like jello but it is set and firm so it will cut nicely. I made gel food using touchofsky's receipe. I made lots and I keep it in the freezer.
It is fun to feed them. Mine love it.

Next time consider instead of tuna or shrimp using sardines. salmon or whitefish
or
adding a tsp of flaxseed oil to get more of the essential fatty acids.

OK I will next time! I just used shrimp because I already had a bag of frozen shrimp in my freezer. tongue.gif

I think the consistancy came out right- it was firm and rubbery-like and cut easily. smile.gif

Thank you!

Thanks for the tip. I've always got salmon in the house.

Mochashello: that's how it should turn out. smile.gif
I made a batch once where i put too much stuff in it and it tended to fall apart and was really messy.

Queenie: Cool. smile.gif
