Is it safe for a goldy to eat a snail egg my apple snails just layed a bunch and i saw my goldies nipping on the lower ones.

Yes, it's safe! biggrin.gif Goldfish can also be fed smashed up snails. But, this isn't for the squeemish! lol.GIF My goldfish eat baby trumpet snails!!!

My fish eat any snail eggs and baby snails in the tank, its a natural food for them. smile.gif

not until recently it isnt really natural for a snail to live in the northern atlantic which is a bit cold.

*chuckle* I keep large ramshorns in my goldie tank and never see any babies.

I have no idea on apple snail eggs.

Yeah, they'll eat apple snail eggs, and baby apple snails too! The shells are very soft when they are first hatched, no deterrent to the goldfish at all.

I imagine that the eggs are very nutritious for them, like any eggs, they are probably full of protein!
