I am so excited because the small calico oranda I got a few months ago turned out to be a female. I guess my male redcap oranda is more excited than I am
Well, it turns out that they were spawning on Saturday morning. I did not save any eggs 'cause I was not prepared but I will be ready for the next time. My late female moor used to spawn in April but this lil' fellow did it in October!
My conclusion is that the central AC and heating may have fooled this fish (I moved to a new place last Summer) since I turned on the heating for the first time three weeks ago!
