I wonder if goldfish ever eat plants that they don't normally eat for medicinal purposes like animals do in the wild to get rid of internal parisites or like dog
eating grass to help with their digestion

Hmm, interesting thought. I would think that goldfish in the wild--
carp, would do something like that. But, captive goldfish would
have to rely on the caretaker to provide a proper feeding regimen.
