Is it ok to put crustaceans in a tropical tank?

I think so, I read a post once about crabs eating somone fish and they were tropicals. smile.gif

Depends on what you mean by "crustaceans". You can put fresh water snails and/or crabs/crayfish in a fresh water (tropical) tank. I have heard of people having fresh-water mussels in their tanks, too. I just wouldn't put really small fish in with larger crabs. Snails will generally only eat fish that are already dead, so they are safe with just about anything.

If you are talking about salt-water crustaceans, such as hermit crabs, snails, starfish, urchins, etc., the answer is no, you can't.

i allready have a snail in the tank (Dave). I will probably get another tank then to put othe things in.
