I have three new goldfish, actually I had four, but the mortality rate for cheapo feeder fish is fairly high. Still, they're my favorite. Of course, it was the coolest tri-color one that carked it.
Noticed when I got them home that they have tiny holes in their top and tail fins. They're only pin sized and there doesn't seem to be any problems with the edges indicating that it might be fin rot. I had them quarantined in another tank with fungus meds before I introduced them to my other two fish.
I've read through everything I can find on the web and aside from the fact that I've found out that I really should only have two fish in my 20 gallon tank...(contrary to the pet store!) I can't find anything to tell me if I should be worried or treating it. Other then that, they seem to be looking pretty happy in their new environment.
So, do they need help or is it just from being stuffed in a tank with hundreds of other fish?
Great site! Thanks for any information. :~) D
