biggrin.gif hi tinkerbell
i tried to catch you earlier in chat but youd gone. i was wondering how long had the tank been running before you added the fish. you may be experiencing what is commonly called new tank syndrome, which happens when the tank hasnt cycled and you may lose some new fish.
as for hardy fish i think danios would top my list and i think you have some of those already. try some glowlight tetras or lemon tetras too. how many gallons does your tank hold?

hey Sandy, just to let you know, the water had been in the tank a week before i added any of the fish. i do allready have some danio's but i will definatly give the glowlight and lemon tetras a go!
thanks very much

p.s - would the water be ok after a week?
Black oranda
smile.gif I would say black tetras i didn't do much and they lived for 7 years
they lived true some very hard times... once i forgot my heater on and my light on and the next morning the water was extremly hot i lost all my other tropicals expect for the 3 black tetras and this mistake happend twice.

And you could get them for about 3$ (not sure how much that would be in teh UK)

Bettas are the hardiest fish in my opinion. They can survive weeks in a small glass but you cant put two bettas in the same tank. And if your looking for the cheapest, glowlights and livebearers are the ones.

ill definatly try some of the black tetras, that sounds like the kinda mistake i would make!
cheers!
