I got a very cute little suckery fish the other day (still cant remember what he's actually called) but im a bit concerned because ever since i put him in the tank, he hasnt eaten anything. Could he be getting enough algae off the side of the tank? he kind of sticks in one place most of the time, and ive ben putting algae flakes in there for him, but because he doesnt move much, he has no idea that they are there. He just kinda hangs around the back of the filter all day. what should i do???

assuming that your talking about a plecostomus, try feeding him algae "disks" instead. and try feeding at night right after the lights go out. you see, most plecos and other "suckerfish" are nocturnal. they are more active at night then in the day so, feeding at night will be much more convenient for it. also, try out some greens in there too. spinache, romaine lettuce and the like are very good for them.
hope this helps!

hi tinks as your tank is really new have you got any green algae for him to feed on? if not, then you can but plec tablets from the lfs. a whole one would be too much for a small plec, so manbe a quarter of a tablet. put it in at night when the lights are off. next time you go to the lfs take a notebook and write down the names of the fish you buy, and you can find out too what type of plec you have. your plec will also need some bogwood to graze on if its a common or related species.
