i know that this is in the wrong section, but...
I think that my guppie is pregnant and i was just wondering how long i would have to wait until she gave birth.
i would have posted thi sin the tropical section, but for some reason its not letting me...
please help!

Ummm im not sure really.... i think it's 4 weeks???

Does she have a dark spot on the back of her belly? ths is called her gravid spot.

She should carry for about 28 to 35 days. She can produce anything up to 100 fry each time.

You may want to consider a breeding trap for her too - as the fry may get eaten by your other fishes.

thnks guys, just out of interest, how long does it take for the spot to appear?

not sure, i would start counting from when you see the spot.

It's in the right section, guppy gestation period is usually 23-30 days from their last drop

she is getting really fat, but i cant see the spot on her belly....hmm.
