biggrin.gif Well this morning I was feeding all my fish when I noticed that someome in the cory tank had been busy again!!!! Eggs were all over the place! blink.gif I was a little surprised because normally cory cats will do that when you do a big water change, all I did was add a huge bunch of anacharis, and topped off the tank with a gal. or two of water. They laid eggs not too long ago but by the time I had seen them, they were pretty much eaten up. I have at least 6 different types of cories in that tank,so I wasn't sure who was having all the fun. Well today I saw the culprit!!! I have 4 albino cory's.Apparently one is female-the other three males. She was going crazy-laying eggs everywhere. It was really interesting to watch all the movement and detail involved...My only problem now,is what should I do? I don't know if I should let nature take its course,or if I should try and gather them up. Most are on sides of glass-a few on plants.Does anyone know off-hand how long they take to hatch?? It's been a while since I thought about breeding them so I forget . The only bad thing about the eggs is that theres a ton of ramshorn/mystery snails in that tank that I'm constantly trying to rid myself of by doing constant gravel vacs...I guess I won't be doing that unsure.gif

I noticed that everyone seems to think of them as caviar!!!! yikes.gif Alot of them seem to have disappeared allready! I know tha there are some hidden on plants,so I'm hoping that I at least get a few out of this batch anyway. I decided that I only have two tropical tanks left, and that I really didn't have the room to takke all the eggs out and let them hatch so I'm letting nature call this one! rolleyes.gif

I have babies!!!! Only I screwed up!!!! yikes.gif All the eggs were getting eaten by the darn snails as soon as I turned out the lights---I busted them doing that too! Anyway, today,I decide to do a water change...it's been a while because I have baby bristlenose's in the tank, and I've been hardly touching the tank for fear that I would kill them( I did a water change in a betta tank ,and two bristles died) So I syphon up about 4 gals. of water into a bucket. Before I did this ,I looked for baby cory's,and didn't see any--as I said, the eggs were getting eaten so I didn't expect much. So ,I'm dumping the water out,and when I get towards the end,for some reason I decided to check again----gosh darn it I saw a squiggle with an eye!!!!! OMG.....I poured most of the water down the drain allready!!!!! So I'm looking and I see a few squiggles---it's really hard because of course all the muck from the tank is on the bottom of this bucket...So,now I'm wondering what the heck I should do????There's not alot of muck, but enough where I don't want to pour it into my tank again----I have an empty 2.5 gal,and a ten gal,but no heater--These are newborns so I know they could die in a blink of an eye!!! oh man, first the bettas now the cory's who's next????? blink.gif

biggrin.gif So it's been 11 days, and I had 4 babies in the breeders net.Yesterday I happened to be feeding everyone, and that's when I spotted another baby! It took a while to catch him-without smushing him though.I have 5 baby corys now,and who knows, there could be more lurking around some corner!!! yeah.gif They are actually starting to look like corys now,and I can see their little barbells!!! heartpump.gif
