Amy ,when I had my boys in containers without heaters, that's exactly what they did.Miine also had no visible signs of illness.I really believe putting heaters in all my tanks made all the difference in the world.72 is tolerable for them, but they really like the water water warmer. I lost track of your other thread. What are you keeping him in? I'm not saying it's a 100%-but I bet if it his temp waters were upped, that you may see a big improvement.

hes back to his normal self now. typical. im moving him into a divided tank next week with a heater so the problem should go away then. thanks guys.

Thats good to hear your boy is back to himself again. Sometimes they just have "down days" and not want to swim, eat, or do much of anything. and if you said he had no sign of illness.. then im glad hes okay now.. but was posted about the tank heaters is true, it does make a world of difference for the betta.. If you dont have one already i would at least consider getting one.. you should see improvements in a number of things. Good Luck!

A heater should help. Good luck!
