The only snails that I can buy are itty bitty ones that are about the size of my fingernail. Needless to say that my savage goldfish eat them up and would lick their lips after (if they had a tongue).
So I was wondering if I could put the little snails in with a betta until they grew bigger. Has anyone had problems between bettas and snails before? Is this a good or BAAAD idea?

i don't think there is a problem, just watch ur betta and see how she/he reacts.. its the best way to know cuz each bettas has its likes and dislikes:)
what snails are these?? apple snails??
or are you talking about physa acuta??

I wasn't sure which type of snail I was going to get, maybe an apple snail. They're the only ones that are sold around here, if not I thought maybe I'd just go to a slough and grab a slough snail (brown football like shell). Dunno though. Have to check about it later though, I got a job so I'm moving ... again. So no new fish for a while.
