I was wrong before. The magazine that has the great guppie articles is Aquarium Fish, Fishkeeping-the Art and the Science

October 2004 issue

It has nice information, great pictures and lists of breeders for the various strains of guppies! I enjoyed it a lot - it occupied me for part of our flight to Califonia a couple of weeks ago!

They even discuss Endler's Livebearers.

daryl,

Oh, they do!!!! It is aquariumfish.com

Hey, on page 38 they talk about the kind of disease that killed the 6 adult fish I have had that died. I am worried about my big blue mama fishy, now.

He says he does a preventative treatment on all fish that come in using "QuickCure and triple sulfa". I am assuming that if I ask for "QuickCure" I shall find it in a fish store somewhere, but what is "triple sulfa"?

Ever heard of it?

I really do not want to lose BlueMama. She is old, I know - the breeder said she had been working for him for a few years already when he gave her to me, but she is so large with a 3/4 inch bright blue tail - a real lady and I would hate to have her die just because I did not know the right treatment..... sad.gif

Here you go, Daryl! Triple Sulfa It comes in tablet form, and I have seen it at either Petsmart or Petsupermarket (can't remember which one), but I guess Petco or Petland would have it too....smile.gif

Ok, Triple Sulfa and QuickCure are in the tank. That Sulfa stuff is as hard to dissove as Prazi!!!!!! <_< (Thank you again to Toothy for a solution for the solution!!!! lol.GIF )

BlueMama is actually looking a bit happier - I isolated her from the zealous attention of the male. After two rounds of babies - continuous pregnancies, I felt she needed a rest......
