I was curious if anyone has the betta tech bowl, with the "nite glow" glow on it. It sites on a blak base thing that goes up the back end, with a funky light that kinda sits overtop the opening of the bowl? Its not very big, but was curious if anyone had it, and like it or disliked it. Ive seen them for sometime, but never acctually set up entil the other day. nnnnnn had one set up, and although they needed to clean the bowl out and stuff, overall it looked really nice, but alittle small. Was just curious what everyone thought!

PS. I saw the most beautiful betta yesturday while I was there (well arent all bettas beautiful!) and I just had to get him! Hes a beautiful deep red, with the prettiest fins. Out of all the bettas they had, he looked the healthiest, and he was the best looking out of all of them. Also, they had a few bettas, but they looked pretty torn up. I felt soo bad for them!

Nope, to small i personaly don't like them aswell.
They don't hold a gallon and the minimum for a betta is
1 gallon each.And personaly bowls arn't good....

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing! Right now, I have my bettas each in at least 2.5 gallons with a filter. I did get that beautiful betta I saw there. I just couldnt help myself..... it always seems to be that way when I go down by the bettas. He seems very happy in his new 2.5 gallon mini bow (I have my other betta in the same kind of setup, and he really likes it). He seems very happy in there. Its probably ALOT better then that cup they had him in! LOL, I know I would hate to be in a cup!

PS. A while back I got my mom a new betta after hers died. She had had it a few years. Well she has him in one of those vase thing with the plant (which I totally dont agree with, but she insists he likes it in there). One of them has been in there for a couple of years now. ANYWAYS, yesturday she was going to give the whole set up to my brother (unresponsable 23 year old, who can barely take care of himself, let alone a fish!) Anyways, I kinda put up a fight, telling her the fish would be sure to be dead in a few weeks, or sooner, and he wouldnt know how to take care of it. Well, she ended up not giving it to him, THANK GOODNESS. I was so afraid for the poor betta. People think im crazy, but fish has feelings too... and hes much better off here where he gets taken care of, then over with my brother and all his drunk friends!

haha lol funny story

by the way.. by couple of years.. how many are you saying blink.gif I though bettas can only live up to 2 yrs.. am i wrong???
BigRedandBlindWillie
When I say a couple of years, I mean well over 3 years, and still in great shape!
My last betta, who died a couple of months back, was well over 6 years old. I loved him lots, and still miss him deeply. I died of old age. It was a very sad day when he died cry3.gif Ive heard from alot of people that bettas only live 2 or 3 years, but Big Blue proved me wrong. I think it all depends on how good you take care of them!

care of the fish.
