Kev, its roughly devided by 4, that gets you the US gallon....13 something gl....

Koko's marine tank has that size, so I would think its doable.

yep its do able but you have to know your water quality and components of running on. smaller tanks are easy to mess up.....i have had mine for almost 6 months and its not the easiest thing at first

are there any 'special' test kits made especialy for saltwater tanks?
Are the ones less than 29gallons called nano tanks or is it the other way around?

Most test kits will work with fresh and salt but you will have to look at them and they should tell you hun

yes tanks smaller than 30 gals are nano tanks. The smallest one I have seen is 2.5 gals

Hi there all,
Just want to state my opinion on Test kits for saltwater, I have tryed many many kits and so far the most accurate kits IMO are Salifert test kits, they are a little more costly than the red sea and hagen kit or fasttest but they will give you a more reliable reading.
Good Luck

No.... You want to run a Skimmer in any tank bigger than a 20 gallon for the fact is Nutrients will build up and create algaes that will over take your Aquarium......the skimmer acts as a vital part of your filtration help remove all the poops and stuff from feeding ect ect ect.... so yes skimmers are needed for a good healthy system
