This past satuday I bought 3 neon tetra's and a cory catfish (correct my spelling if I am wrong)

Well my betta is DEAD now.. would this cory catfish attack him? He was fine this morning- ohmy.gif

cry3.gif Hi Kiesha,I'm so sorry that you lost your betta.How long have you had him ,and what was he living in? As for the cory,well I've had corys for years,and I'd have to say that I've really never seen them bother anyone..Did you happen to test the water params of your betta tank?

I had him almost a year.. he was in a 10 gallon tank with an aqua clear filter until most recently I put the regent filter on there. There was an amazon sword plant and a heater- I didnt think the cory did anything to him b/c his body was still in tact. He didnt take likely to other fish being in the tank.. could he have just stressed himself out?

huh.gif I guess it's possible,but probably not...Did you happen to check those params? Then again,almost a year is probably good for a betta.The thing is,god only knows how old he was when you bought him,and what kind of conditions he was raised in. Sadly,the people who have their bettas live for years,are few..... sad.gif

Sorry to hear that. I had a betta and cory's and my betta died too.
