Hi I'm new here and...
I was wondering since there are so many people on this forum if i can feed any type of small fishes to my gold fishes, mainly live ones. Hopefully one of you guys know, lol sorry to offend anyone.

I have never feed live fish to a goldfish but I have feed live shrimp to my goldfish.....Ghost shrimp most of the time you can buy 4 for a buck

aww that's too bad i wanted something that moves fast so my fish can chase it around all-day long lol for excersise (supposedly speeds up fish growth) but... maybe that's too cruel...

Feederfish guppies what ever don't provide a good diet at all
most of the time they carry parasites ect and are sick.
Im sure your goldfish would rather have peas.

what if i... place the guppies with aquarium salt (for purification) and have them breed then feed the offspring which would most likely not have parasites...

Hmmm still it's very Fatty for the fish(what i've read).And isn't good.
Anyway in my Opinion and im sure im right, goldfish aren't ment to
eat other fish.There more peaceful fish.... no need in killing another fish
and feeding it to your goldies... in the end your goldfish will get sick and most probly die ... So i would recomend treats like blood worms, shrimp, earth worms, peas stuff like that It's alot healthier in the first place. (Just MO)

i guess i'll stick with live hatched brine shrimp no problems with those right?

Brine shrimp are great for goldies.

Make great treats and they love them.

We have those lil cheap fish here called "kataba". It looks like a molly but grey. You can buy a bag full of em for a buck or even less. Someone here told me once that he'd feed his goldies those fish but would kill the lil fishes first before he feeds em because goldies aren't fast swimmers to catch them. What I would suggest is to buy a bunch of black mollies and breed em'. They're so easy to breed and you could feed your goldies their fries. Tried it once and my goldfish loves em!

Like i've said in my other post... (IMO) your goldfish will like to
have shrimp or blood worms/earth worms.

What i'm going to do...get a bunch of mollies then breed them. Then feed their fry to my goldfishes. Feed my goldfish fish fry before and they liked them. They chased the lil fishes for hours.

I think thats a bit cruel....what the feeders went through if they were chased for hours! Im sure there would be an uproar if I told people I fed a Piranah (an example) feeder goldies......and it chased them for hours
