Hi Everyone!,
Can i keep a school of tiger barbs in a 30gl. with 2 goldies?

Ya i've also heard that they could be agreesive, the temp is diffrent tiger barbs are tropical if im not mistaken.... and the food diet is also diffrent and of course size. So id say no smile.gif

i would not recommend at all, as bill hundt says they can be aggressive, they are notorious fin nippers, and Black oranda is right they are tropical, so do need a higher temperature.

Tiger barbs can be very territorial too, and can be a bit of a bully fish.

I once had a tank of those things.Every time I have ever given in and purchased tiger barbs,I have always regretted them.They got a lot bigger than I ever realized,and I could not put any other fish with them at all.Mean little things,that's for sure!!! I called it "My Piranna Tank" Took about 6 years for the last ones to get old and pass away. No,as stated....goldies and tiger barbs should not be placed together. rolleyes.gif

i had Tigers barbs too devs, nightmare! i had then in a community tank (LFS advice! Doh!)

they were soon moved in to a tank by themselves, they just wouldn't leave the tetra alone! - they did get ill and have all passed on but still, i wouldn't have them again.
