If you are buying silicone or aqarium sealant, make sure to check the expiration date. I bought a tube at nnnnnn to seal some hollow ornaments. I filled the ornaments with gravel as said in Daryl's tip of the month. I didnt use the wax because I am scared of handling big containers of hot wax and I would have needed A LOT. Anyway, the sealant was so thick that it could barely be squeezed out with a caulk gun. This didnt seem quite right, but I thought "what do I know?" Then it NEVER cured

It wasnt until after letting it sit for several days and it still being gummy that my fiance noticed that the tube had expired back in FEBURARY. I had to scrape off all the still gunky sealant and buy a new tube. I bought the same brand. The new tube worked great, was easy to squeeze, cured over night, and didnt expire for two more years. So moral of the story is CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BUY IT. Oh, and Daryl's tip worked great, thank you Daryl
