I have an dechlorinator and dechloriminator in one product for goldfish from Jungle and I have an NH4/NH3 test kit from Aquarium Pharmaceuticals. Will these affect my water readings or will I be fine?
I'm asking this because I've heard that Amquel and Novaqua products don't mix. Is this true either?

So do you have the 2 bottle AP ammonia test?
Dunno about the jungle dechlor. Is is sodium thiosulfate?
Novaqua and amqual work well together as novaqua dechlorinates and amquel makes any resulting ammonia less toxic. The AP 2 bottle ammonia test gives accurate readings of free ammonia when using novaqua/amquel. The only think you need to watch out for with amquel, is that it eats up KH and can result in a pH crash. The AP 2 bottle ammonia kit also works fine with Prime.

It only has one bottle. It didn't even come with a test tube. So I kinda stole from some other kits to try and make a complete one. It seems fairly accurate though. Though I guess it only tests ammonia, oh well guess I'll have to get a nitrate kit when I get a nitrite and pH kit.

the 1 bottle test is the nessler's reagent. It won't give you accurate ammonia reading when usng amquel or prime. dunno about what other water conditioners throw it off.
