Hello everyone

My 4.5 inch black ranchu has some whitespots on his head, manily the wen area, and a few on his back and the pevic fin. They are not like the ones I had with my other fish. They are cloudy white instead of bright white, expecially the ones on his head, any ideas?

I'm treating it with high temp and meds, just in case.

If hes an Oranda and its on his wen this is growing wen time. Also it can be bits of food caught in his wen too. If they get to much or fluffy looking you can take a q-tip with some Peroxide and gently rub them off with peroxide, But make sure you DON'T get it in there eyes or gills.

There r some on his back too, but its cloudy white, not bright white, like the slime white colour but do slime concentrate together to form a spot-like thing?

Some times they can . I might do a rid ick treatment to see if it will go away smile.gif

yup, I'm doing that, but I just want to see because if the treatment is long because that stuff isn't ick, its not good. Because the fish is black the high temp makes him lose colour sad.gif
