the other day shipped to me all the way from thailand but the thing is, i realise theyre in a new environment and everything and they were under stress but all the guys seem to do is sit on the bottom of their bowls and wollow in self pity. they have been doing some halfassed flaring at each other but thats about it. most of the time they just sit motionless on the bottom. bielzubub has been eating quite well but gabriel hasnt and is definately the most lathargic of them and has hardly eaten a thing. the girls seem fine, medusa is a little bit depressed but is eating and as for angel, ive never known such a happy betta! do you think it would perk up the males if i floated a female in there for a couple of hours? i did cover them with a towel to make it all dark and relaxing and it didnt seem to help. is there anything more i can do?

patience is the thing here amy. remember the fish have been in completely different water chemistry and will maybe take the best part of a week to get used to everything. they probably have jet lag!!
What are their water temperature? I would just keep their water as clean, warm and pristine as possible. Also, since they had a long trip, I would reduce as much stress as possible, and this includes flaring at each other and trying to seduce a girl.

Hey Amy How's the new betta boys and babes doin? Are they settling in yet? I had one that took a week to eat,and almost a month before he really looked comfortable.They all have such different personalities,that it's hard to figure out sometimes!

the girls are very happy, the guys are still sulking but are gradually getting better. gabriel has had all of a bloodworm in a week so hopefully he will have to eat somthing soon. i did take some pics when they first arrived but they look much better now so ill take some more and put them up. i did take some of the girles though a few days ago. ill just have a fiddle with them. angel is the cutest thing!
