A while ago I bought my tank an airstone. Recently I noticed my pleco comet always hangs around near it. I thought nothing of it, but now when he poops it has bubbles in it. It causes the poop to float around the top of the water. Mainly I'm worried about his health. Is it okay for him to be ingesting bubbles? He doesn't act sick and he eats fine.

Plecos and other catfish have the ability to take in atmospheric air, so sometimes they will go to the top of the tank and gulp in air. They use it to aid in their balance. They will take in or release however much air they need to even out. It helps them when they stick upside down on the glass or decorations in the tank.

Thanks. I was worried he would get sick.
