Does anybody know what r the conditions needed for breeding pearlscales and has anybody ever had success in breeding them??
I did it with a 25 gallon (but the parents ate the fry and only one survived and I had her four years and she died recently

) Plant the tank with a few anubias nanas ( one in each corner) and use a sponge filter ( also, feed them bloodworms once the fry have hatched. It is supposed to prevent them from eating the fry, I should have done that! ) Youre definately gonna need a few tall plants so the female can hide if she gets tired. Also if you buy a 80 gallon tank you can try breeding perlies 8 at a time (they are more than happy to breed in a group.
