I just bought a comet goldfish and put her in a new aquarium (10G) shes about 2 point something inches long without counting the tail. shes a healthy size-looks pretty big to me. Anyway, because its alot bigger then the last fish I had I don tknow how much to feed it. I gave it 2 pinches (soaked first) of food and I think its looking for more. is it safe to give it more than 2 pinches??? I really dont know, lol. I dont know if its really hungry or just being piggish, lo.

Can someone tell me how much to feed it about?

Only feed your comet how much she can eat in under 2 minutes. lol.GIF

Also variety is very good in your goldfishies life. If you can try to feed it something also aside from flakes. The 2 minute rule goes for everything, not just flakes. food.gif

I'd say just feed a few flakes once or twice a day. My 3 inch common gets one medium sized pellet twice a day, which is all he can eat in 2 minutes.

And goldfish ALWAYS look hungry. Resist the urge to overfeed them... they'll eat until they're pooping undigested food, which fouls the water.

And bless you for having your fish in a 10 gallon tank! biggrin.gif

Ok, thanks all biggrin.gif lol and its so cute, shes always digging around the rocks ( I know alot of goldfish do that but its still adorable) Luckilly I use river rocks so I dont have to worry about it swallowing gravel lol.GIF
